Kater 2006 - Report

October 9th to 11th 2006, Vienna, Austria

The KATER 2006 conference, entitled "All about Karst and Water", took place from the 9th to the 11th of October in the Vienna City Hall Austria. The conference´s main focus was the scientific programme, during which the participants all aspects of producing drinking water from karstic sources. Besides this programme, there also was an exhibition where manufacturers were able to present technologies that are important for producing and monitoring drinking water from Karstic water sources.

s::can was one of the exhibitors and presented both its instruments as well as results from applications in Karst water. The monitoring of the water in the catchment area of the Vienna water works, performed with more than 20 s::can spectro::lyser™, was presented. Furthermore, the use of s::can spectro::lyser™ to follow tracers added to the water and their movement through catchment areas was discussed as well.
